Last month I had the chance to attend Estée Lauder press event for fall/winter 2015 where new products were presented! How exciting!
I will write more detailed reviews of each item I got to try in upcoming blog posts but until then I wanted to give you an overview of what you can expect.
One of the main focuses of the presentation was the introduction of a new line: the New Dimension Collection.
The New Dimension Transformative Collection
This new line is composed of skincare items (a serum and a "liquid tape") and makeup products with 2 contouring kits, one for the face and one for the eyes.
The New Dimension Shape + Fill Expert Serum helps to get more defined facial contours. It is basically an anti-aging serum packed with antioxidants and skin repairing ingredients.
The New Dimension Expert Liquid Tape is supposed to give a tighter feel to key facial contours for a face that looks radiant and more defined from every angle.
The New Dimension Shape + Sculpt Face Kit is an all-in-one face palette for face contouring. It highlights, defines and visibly sculpts the look of the face. The kit is incredibly easy to use even for beginners because of its creamy texture that is easily blendable and buildable. It has a matte finish.
The New Dimension Shape + Sculpt Eye Kit is an all-in-one eye palette for eye contouring! This kit contains everything you need to add depth and dimension for bigger, brighter, more defined-looking eyes. It contains a primer, a highlighting shade and a darker shade to add definition.
Resilience Lift Firming/Sculpting Oil-In-Creme Infusion
Resilience Lift Firming/Sculpting Oil-In-Creme is the newest addition to Estée Lauder moisturizers. This cream contains 20% of nourishing oil and is perfect for dry and sensitive skin. The oil part of this cream is composed of a blend of different botanical oils, such as coconut, avocado, olive, milk thistle, mango, macadamia nuts, cardamine seeds, jojoba, almond, grape seeds, soya beans and sunflower seeds. It also contains skin-repairing ingredients to help strenghten the skin barrier.
This cream is perfect for winter!
Re-Nutriv Ultimate Diamond Transformative Energy Eye Cream
Re-Nutriv Ultimate Diamond has been a huge success last year as a face cream and now there is a new cream dedicated to the eye area.
This is an ultra-luxurious cream that contains black truffle extracts as well as gold particles. It comes with a beautiful applicator made of a gold alloy for a refreshing application.
Modern Muse Le Rouge
Modern Muse Le Rouge provides an intriguing dual impression typical of all Moder Muse fragrances.
Le Rouge is a sexy, provocative contrast of two distinctively different accords
- rich roses awakened by ripe fruit (blackcurrant, raspberry, pink peppercorn, saffron) and
- a seductive velvet creme accord (Madagascar vanilla, patchouli oil, vetiver, magnolia and jasmine flowers)
Like the original Modern Muse and Modern Muse Chic, Modern Muse Le Rouge was inspired by the complexity of a modern woman. Who is Modern Muse Le Rouge? She’s the captivating woman who makes a bold, colorful statement without saying a word. Her mantra is never go unnoticed. Daring, fearless, and seductive. When she wants to make a show-stopping impression, she wears the ultimate red—Le Rouge.
To celebrate the launch of Modern Muse Le Rouge, 3 Color Envy lipsticks (Envious, Red Ego, Carnal), a red nail lacquer (Envious) as well as an eyeshadow palette (Pink Mink) in a special red packaging are available. For the lipsticks, the 3 colors are part of the standard assortment, it's just the packaging that is limited edition. But if you're a collector like me, that beautiful red packaging combined with a top quality lipstick will make you want to get them. For the eyeshadow palette, I'm not sure if it's part of the standard assortment or not. It seems to be different in different countries. And for the nail polish, I already have it and swatches HERE. In Switzerland this limited edition is exclusively sold at Manor.
The lipstick color I have here is Carnal.
Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Potion, Lip Volumizer
Pure Color Envy Lip Potion is a velvety liquid lipstick with high-intensity color and moisturizing formula. The formula is actually infused with avocado, jojoba, and sunflower oils and contains hyaluronic acid to create a moisturizing and comfortable lipstick.
It's very lightweight, non-sticky and easy to apply. It dries down to a satin finish (Yay~ I love satin and matte finishes!).
The color I have here on photo is 410 Vague Obsession. It exists in 16 different colors ranging from nude, pink, red to coral and purple (see the colors here).
Pure Color Envy Lip Volumizer is a moisturizing and plumping clear lip gloss. The applicator looks pink although the gloss is clear. The reason to this is because when you apply it over a lisptick, the lipstick can stain the applicator that will eventually look rather unattractive if it's white. If it's pink, you won't see the stains and it will look pretty longer.
Pure Color Envy Matte Lipsticks
In addition to the Pure Color Envy Lip Potions, Estée Lauder introduces a new lipstick collection with matte formula. It was created in collaboration with Joan Smalls (Estée Lauder spokesmodel). Both the shades and finish were hand-picked by Joan Smalls with the objective of standing out and being bold.
These matte lipsticks are supposed to be creamy and non drying while staying matte. There are 12 different shades in total (see the different options here).
Honestly I really like all the shades and was really excited to see super bold colors such as Shameless Violet or Extrovert. My personal favorites are Volatile, Neon Azalea, and Unattainable.
In Switerzland there are 8 shades available (Irrepresible [dark red brick], Desirious [dark chestnut brown], Neon Azalea [electric pink], Unattainable [raspberry red], Volatile [madarine], Decisive Poppy [carmine red], Stronger [bright purple], Extrovert [dark plum]).
Magic Smoky Powder Shadow Sticks
The 8 Magic Smoky Powder Shadow Sticks were created to make the smoky eye simple. They are basically eyeshadows in a pencil formula.
The crayons are waterproof, last 8 hours and are highly pigmented. They are easily blendable and are availble in 3 different finishes: Matte [Burnt Black], Satin [Indigo Smoke, Charred Plum], Shimmer [Cool Ash, Slow Burn, Sea Smoke, Scorched Gold, Pink Charcoal].
The one I have on the pictures here is Cool Ash and I think I need Charred Plum, too!
Double Wear Makeup To Go Liquid Compact
Last but not least is the new Double Wear Makeup To Go Liquid Compact. This is a liquid foundation in an innovative, spill-proof compact. It's so convenient when you travel or simply to take it with you during the day for touch-up.
If you follow Korean beauty trends, you probably know cushion foundation. It's bascially a cushion (or sponge) soaked in foundation and housed in a compact. If you're interested I have a review of one of my favorite Korean cushion foundation here. Recently the Korean brand VDL has pushed the trend to another level with their metal cushion foundation. It's still based on the same concept as traditional cushion foundation with liquid foundation housed in a compact except the foundation is here not soaked in a sponge but is rather delivery through a series of holes when you press the metal plate of the compact. It's a bit difficult to explain but you understand better when you see how it looks here or here for example. Banila Co has something similar except they use a plastic plate instead (see here). I have their VV Bouncing cushion by the way but haven't used it yet (I'm still using refills from my Hera cushion).
So you have quite a few options of portable liquid foundation among Korean brands but unfortunately they offer only limited shades. So I was super happy when I heard International brands, such as Estée Lauder, would launch such a compact!
I haven't tried the Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup To Go Liquid Compact yet but that's something I will definitely try when I finish my current foundation! I'm really looking forward to trying it!! In Switzerland the launch date is October 19th! Sooooooon~ ;D #exciteeeeeed!!
