Russian tennis sensation Maria Sharapova took to social media network Instagram to confirm romance with Alexander Gikes. The 31 year old superstar shared a picture on her account with the caption 'Fall in the Cotswold' along with emojis of a boy and a girl.
Alexander Gikes, 39, is the millionaire founder of online auction house Paddle8, and the Britisher is said to have royal connections, and is a pal of the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William. Alexander and Maria were first linked in January and kept their romance low-profile, with Gikes being spotted at the US Open in August cheering on his lady love.
Gikes has previously dated Misha Nonoo, a British fashion designer, who is said to have played match-maker to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Sharapova has previously been in relationships with tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and NBA player Sasha Vujacic.
